Cueva Negra (PR-53), expedition report
The first hike was a success — we gathered a total of 18 participants, which is quite a lot for a trial hike.
We hiked 5.5 km down a fairly steep trail. We were a bit cold at first, but warmed up nicely along the way. It wasn’t the easiest route, but it was vibrant
This is a good start for our group of hiking enthusiasts
I want to especially mention
1) the punctuality of the participants — everyone arrived on time, thank you
2) the good pace and coordination during the hike
3) the solidarity with fellow participants — we divided into drivers and passengers to organize logistics.
The most valuable aspect of hikes for me is solidarity — giving someone a ride in your car, slowing down to wait for slower hikers, exchanging views and useful contacts.
I enjoyed it, and I will continue. Thank you for your trust and I look forward to seeing you on future hikes
